Denise Carleton
Through years of hands-on service, Denise dreamed of a greater opportunity: keeping valuable classroom materials out landfills and putting them into the hands of teachers, their students, and nonprofits.
Paralyzed in 2014, that dream seemed out of reach—but in 2020, she made it a reality by founding the Teacher Reuse Exchange.
More than a resource center, the Teacher Reuse Exchange is the culmination of her passion for recycling, reuse, and education. It stands as proof that one person’s commitment to community can spark lasting change.
Denise didn’t just imagine a better way. She built it.
